In this A/C performance inspection, we’ll check out the current condition of your 2008 Cadillac Escalade A/C system to determine whether repair work is needed. We’ll test overall system performance, check for any leaks, and measure the system pressure. If any signs point to a possible leak, we’ll send a special U/V dye through the system, or use something called a “sniffer.” What’s a “sniffer,” you ask? It’s a specially designed machine that’s used on parts of your Cadillac Escalade A/C system to detect refrigerant fumes escaping from the system. If your system has a leak, we can get it fixed.
When we perform an A/C repair on your 2008 Cadillac Escalade, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. To do this, one of our technicians will remove the refrigerant in your A/C system (if there is even any left to remove). Then, they’ll use Cadillac’s specifications to evacuate the system. To finish, we’ll add new refrigerant to recharge the A/C system, and once the technician tests the cool blast for themselves, you’re all set. Our technicians are trained to efficiently perform 2008 Cadillac Escalade A/C recharges.
Hot air is a common Cadillac Escalade A/C problem, but it’s not the only issue you might encounter. Another common A/C problem is weak airflow, which could be caused by mold or mildew buildup, a loose hose, an old ventilation fan, or a compromised seal. If you notice that your A/C system’s air is cold at first, then quickly goes warm, this may be due to a clogged expansion valve, faulty compressor clutch, blown fuse, or leak. Are you breathing in some “interesting” new odors in your 2008 Cadillac Escalade? You could have a moldy evaporator case, or you may simply need a new cabin air filter installed. Our trained technicians will do what they can to solve your A/C problems. So, chill out. We're here to help you get the blast back in your Escalade’s A/C!
