There’s nothing worse than cranking your car air conditioner on a hot day — and discovering it’s broken. Is that a hot stove? Nope, just your steering wheel. That puddle in the driver’s seat? Sweat. Ugh. You take a deep breath and ask yourself, “Who can fix my Chevrolet Impala A/C?” Easy — Firestone Complete Auto Care! We know our way around Chevrolet vehicles, and our qualified technicians can diagnose and service the A/C system in your 2007 Chevrolet. Bring your Chevrolet Impala to your local Firestone Complete Auto Care
During this initial A/C performance check, we’ll look at the state of your 2007 Chevrolet Impala’s A/C system to see if repair work is required. We’ll test overall system performance, check for any leaks, and measure the system pressure. If we suspect a leak, we’ll send a U/V dye through your A/C system or use a “sniffer” to find the leak. What’s a “sniffer,” you ask? It’s a specially designed machine that’s used on parts of your Chevrolet Impala A/C system to detect any refrigerant fumes that might be leaking out from the system. If your A/C system has a leak, we’ll find and repair it.
While your 2007 Chevrolet Impala’s air conditioner is being serviced, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. During this process, a technician will remove the old refrigerant from the A/C system. Then, they’ll use Chevrolet’s specifications to evacuate the system. To finish, we’ll add new refrigerant to recharge the A/C system, and once we’ve done a final test on the system ourselves, you’re good to go. We want you to be comfortable in your car, so we train our technicians to perform 2007 Chevrolet Impala A/C recharges.
You may think warm air is the only potential Chevrolet Impala A/C problem you’ll have, but you may notice other issues, too. Another common A/C problem is weak airflow, which could be caused by mold or mildew buildup, a loose hose, an old ventilation fan, or a compromised seal. If you notice that your A/C system’s air is cold at first, then quickly goes warm, this may be due to a clogged expansion valve, faulty compressor clutch, blown fuse, or leak. What about those (somewhat unpleasant!) smells coming through the A/C vents in your 2007 Chevrolet Impala? This can mean you have mold in your evaporator case, or it may indicate that it’s time to change your cabin air filter. Our trained technicians will do what they can to solve your A/C problems. We’re here to help you get back on the road in your Impala — without all the sweat puddles!
