When you get in the car on a hot summer day, the last thing you want is a broken air conditioner. Your steering wheel feels like it's burning your hands. Your skin sticks to the driver’s seat. You take a deep breath and ask yourself, “Who can fix my Infiniti G20 A/C?” Firestone Complete Auto Care — that’s who! We know Infiniti vehicles, and our qualified technicians can diagnose and service the A/C system in your 1995 Infiniti. Bring your Infiniti G20 to your local Firestone Complete Auto Care
During this initial A/C performance check, we’ll look at the state of your 1995 Infiniti G20’s A/C system to evaluate what repairs are necessary (if any). This check includes a visual inspection, performance test, and pressure and leak test. If any signs point to a possible leak, we’ll send a special U/V dye through the system, or use something called a “sniffer.” A "sniffer" is a machine that's run along parts of your Infiniti G20 A/C system that can identify points where refrigerant fumes could be escaping the system. If your system has a leak, we can get it fixed.
When we perform an A/C repair on your 1995 Infiniti G20, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. During this process, a technician will remove the old refrigerant from the A/C system. Then, they’ll perform an evacuation (also known as a discharge) on the entire system per Infiniti guidelines. To finish, we’ll add new refrigerant to recharge the A/C system, and once we’ve done a final test on the system ourselves, you’re good to go. We want you to be comfortable in your car, so we train our technicians to perform 1995 Infiniti G20 A/C recharges.
You may think warm air is the only potential Infiniti G20 A/C problem you’ll have, but you may notice other issues, too. Another common A/C problem is weak airflow, which could mean you have a compromised seal, mildew or mold buildup, a loose or damaged hose, or a ventilation fan that needs to be replaced. If your A/C system blows cold air first but then it turns warm, this may be due to a clogged expansion valve, faulty compressor clutch, blown fuse, or leak. What about those (somewhat unpleasant!) smells coming through the A/C vents in your 1995 Infiniti G20? You could have a moldy evaporator case, or you may simply need a new cabin air filter installed. Our technicians will work to solve your A/C problems to the best of their ability. So, chill out. We're here to help you get the blast back in your G20’s A/C!
