There’s nothing worse than cranking your car air conditioner on a hot day — and discovering it’s broken. Is that a hot stove? Nope, just your steering wheel. Sweat soaks the driver's seat. You take a deep breath and ask yourself, “Who can fix my Infiniti Q40 A/C?” Easy — Firestone Complete Auto Care! We know our way around Infiniti vehicles, and our qualified technicians can diagnose and service the A/C system in your 2015 Infiniti. Come to your local Firestone Complete Auto Care in your Infiniti Q40
During an A/C performance check, we'll determine the condition of your 2015 Infiniti Q40 A/C system to evaluate what repairs are necessary (if any). We’ll test overall system performance, check for any leaks, and measure the system pressure. If any signs point to a possible leak, we’ll send a special U/V dye through the system, or use something called a “sniffer.” A “sniffer” isn’t a technician with a good nose! It’s a machine that’s used on different parts of your Infiniti Q40 A/C system to identify points where refrigerant fumes could be escaping the system. If your system has a leak, we can get it fixed.
While your 2015 Infiniti Q40’s air conditioner is being serviced, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. To do this, one of our technicians will remove the refrigerant in your A/C system (if there is even any left to remove). Then, they’ll perform an evacuation (also known as a discharge) on the entire system per Infiniti guidelines. Finally, we’ll recharge the A/C system with new refrigerant and once we’ve done a final test on the system ourselves, you’re all set. We want you to be comfortable in your car, so we train our technicians to perform 2015 Infiniti Q40 A/C recharges.
You may think warm air is the only potential Infiniti Q40 A/C problem you’ll have, but you may notice other issues, too. Another common A/C problem is weak airflow, which could mean you have a compromised seal, mildew or mold buildup, a loose or damaged hose, or a ventilation fan that needs to be replaced. An A/C system that starts off blowing cold air but then turns warm may be due to a clogged expansion valve, faulty compressor clutch, blown fuse, or leak. What about those (somewhat unpleasant!) smells coming through the A/C vents in your 2015 Infiniti Q40? That could be the result of a dirty cabin air filter (an easy fix!) or a moldy evaporator case. Technicians at Firestone Complete Auto Care are ready to help you address your A/C problems. We’re here to help you get back on the road in your Q40 — without all the sweat puddles!
