There’s nothing worse than cranking your car air conditioner on a hot day — and discovering it’s broken. Is that a hot stove? Nope, just your steering wheel. Your skin sticks to the driver’s seat. “Who can fix my Jeep Compass A/C?” you wonder, as the sun beats through the windshield. Firestone Complete Auto Care can! We’ve got experience with Jeep vehicles, and our qualified technicians can diagnose and service the A/C system in your 2015 Jeep. Steer your Jeep Compass to your nearest Firestone Complete Auto Care
In this A/C performance inspection, we’ll check out the current condition of your 2015 Jeep Compass A/C system to evaluate what repairs are necessary (if any). This check includes a visual inspection, performance test, and pressure and leak test. If we suspect a leak, we’ll send a U/V dye through your A/C system or use a “sniffer” to find the leak. What’s a “sniffer,” you ask? It’s a specially designed machine that’s used on parts of your Jeep Compass A/C system to detect refrigerant fumes escaping from the system. If your system has a leak, we can get it fixed.
While your 2015 Jeep Compass’s air conditioner is being serviced, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. To do this, one of our technicians will remove the refrigerant in your A/C system (if there is even any left to remove). Then, they’ll perform an evacuation (also known as a discharge) on the entire system per Jeep guidelines. The A/C system is recharged with new refrigerant and once the technician tests the cool blast for themselves, you're ready to get back on the road. Our technicians are trained to efficiently perform 2015 Jeep Compass A/C recharges.
You may think warm air is the only potential Jeep Compass A/C problem you’ll have, but you may notice other issues, too. Other common A/C problems include weak airflow, which could mean you have a compromised seal, mildew or mold buildup, a loose or damaged hose, or a ventilation fan that needs to be replaced. If your A/C system blows cold air first but then it turns warm, this can mean there’s a malfunctioning compressor clutch, a leak, or a blown fuse. Are you breathing in some “interesting” new odors in your 2015 Jeep Compass? You could have a moldy evaporator case, or you may simply need a new cabin air filter installed. Our trained technicians will do what they can to solve your A/C problems. So, chill out. We're here to help you get the blast back in your Compass’s A/C!
