During this initial A/C performance check, we’ll look at the state of your 2015 Land Rover LR2’s A/C system to see if repair work is required. This check will include an examination of system pressure, a visual inspection, and a leak test. If any signs point to a possible leak, we’ll send a special U/V dye through the system, or use something called a “sniffer.” What’s a “sniffer,” you ask? It’s a specially designed machine that’s used on parts of your Land Rover LR2 A/C system to detect any refrigerant fumes that might be leaking out from the system. If your A/C system has a leak, we’ll find and repair it.
While your 2015 Land Rover LR2’s air conditioner is being serviced, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. During this process, a technician will remove the old refrigerant from the A/C system. Then, they’ll use Land Rover’s specifications to evacuate the system. To finish, we’ll add new refrigerant to recharge the A/C system, and once the technician tests the cool blast for themselves, you’re all set. We want you to be comfortable in your car, so we train our technicians to perform 2015 Land Rover LR2 A/C recharges.
You may think warm air is the only potential Land Rover LR2 A/C problem you’ll have, but you may notice other issues, too. Another common A/C problem is weak airflow, which could be caused by mold or mildew buildup, a loose hose, an old ventilation fan, or a compromised seal. If you notice that your A/C system’s air is cold at first, then quickly goes warm, this can mean there’s a malfunctioning compressor clutch, a leak, or a blown fuse. Are you breathing in some “interesting” new odors in your 2015 Land Rover LR2? This can mean you have mold in your evaporator case, or it may indicate that it’s time to change your cabin air filter. Our technicians will work to solve your A/C problems to the best of their ability. We’re here to help you get back on the road in your LR2 — without all the sweat puddles!
