When you get in the car on a hot summer day, the last thing you want is a broken air conditioner. Your steering wheel feels like it's burning your hands. Sweat soaks the driver's seat. You wipe your brow and wonder, "Who can fix the A/C in my Mercedes-Benz CL500?" Firestone Complete Auto Care can! We’ve got experience with Mercedes-Benz vehicles, and our trained technicians can identify and repair issues with 2005 Mercedes-Benz A/C systems. Bring your Mercedes-Benz CL500 to your local Firestone Complete Auto Care
In this A/C performance inspection, we’ll check out the current condition of your 2005 Mercedes-Benz CL500 A/C system to evaluate what repairs are necessary (if any). This check will include an examination of system pressure, a visual inspection, and a leak test. If any signs point to a possible leak, we’ll send a special U/V dye through the system, or use something called a “sniffer.” What’s a “sniffer,” you ask? It’s a specially designed machine that’s used on parts of your Mercedes-Benz CL500 A/C system to identify points where refrigerant fumes could be escaping the system. If your system has a leak, we can get it fixed.
While your 2005 Mercedes-Benz CL500’s air conditioner is being serviced, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. To do this, one of our technicians will remove the refrigerant in your A/C system (if there is even any left to remove). Next, they will evacuate the system according to Mercedes-Benz's recommendations. Finally, we’ll recharge the A/C system with new refrigerant and once we’ve done a final test on the system ourselves, you’re good to go. We want you to be comfortable in your car, so we train our technicians to perform 2005 Mercedes-Benz CL500 A/C recharges.
Warm air isn't the only Mercedes-Benz CL500 A/C problem you may encounter. Another common A/C problem is weak airflow, which could be caused by mold or mildew buildup, a loose hose, an old ventilation fan, or a compromised seal. If you notice that your A/C system’s air is cold at first, then quickly goes warm, this may be due to a clogged expansion valve, faulty compressor clutch, blown fuse, or leak. Are you breathing in some “interesting” new odors in your 2005 Mercedes-Benz CL500? You could have a moldy evaporator case, or you may simply need a new cabin air filter installed. Our technicians will work to solve your A/C problems to the best of their ability. Don’t sweat it — we’re here to help you chill out again in your CL500.
