When you get in the car on a hot summer day, the last thing you want is a broken air conditioner. Your steering wheel feels like lava. Sweat soaks the driver's seat. We’ve got experience with Mitsubishi vehicles, and our qualified technicians can diagnose and service the A/C system in your 2017 Mitsubishi. Bring your Mitsubishi Mirage to your local Firestone Complete Auto Care
In this A/C performance inspection, we’ll check out the current condition of your 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage A/C system to see if repair work is required. This check includes a visual inspection, performance test, and pressure and leak test. If any signs point to a possible leak, we’ll send a special U/V dye through the system, or use something called a “sniffer.” What’s a “sniffer,” you ask? It’s a specially designed machine that’s used on parts of your Mitsubishi Mirage A/C system to detect refrigerant fumes escaping from the system. If your system has a leak, we can get it fixed.
While your 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage’s air conditioner is being serviced, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. To do this, one of our technicians will remove the refrigerant in your A/C system (if there is even any left to remove). Then, they’ll perform an evacuation (also known as a discharge) on the entire system per Mitsubishi guidelines. The A/C system is recharged with new refrigerant and once the technician tests the cool blast for themselves, you’re all set. Our technicians are trained to efficiently perform 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage A/C recharges.
You may think warm air is the only potential Mitsubishi Mirage A/C problem you’ll have, but you may notice other issues, too. Another common A/C problem is weak airflow, which could indicate an old ventilation fan, a seal or hose that needs replacing, or mold buildup in your A/C system. If your A/C system blows cold air first but then it turns warm, this may suggest a leak, a blown fuse, or a damaged compressor clutch. What about those (somewhat unpleasant!) smells coming through the A/C vents in your 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage? That could be the result of a dirty cabin air filter (an easy fix!) or a moldy evaporator case. Technicians at Firestone Complete Auto Care are ready to help you address your A/C problems. We’re here to help you get back on the road in your Mirage — without all the sweat puddles!
