There’s nothing worse than cranking your car air conditioner on a hot day — and discovering it’s broken. Your steering wheel feels like it's burning your hands. That puddle in the driver’s seat? Sweat. Ugh. “Who can fix my Ram 1500 A/C?” you wonder, as the sun beats through the windshield. Firestone Complete Auto Care can! We know our way around Ram vehicles, and our qualified technicians can diagnose and service the A/C system in your 2015 Ram. Steer your Ram 1500 to your nearest Firestone Complete Auto Care
During this initial A/C performance check, we’ll look at the state of your 2015 Ram 1500’s A/C system to determine whether repair work is needed. This check includes a visual inspection, performance test, and pressure and leak test. If we think there might be a leak, we'll run a special U/V dye through the system or use a "sniffer." A "sniffer" is a machine that's run along parts of your Ram 1500 A/C system that can detect refrigerant fumes escaping from the system. If there's a leak, we'll find it and fix it.
While your 2015 Ram 1500’s air conditioner is being serviced, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. During this process, a technician will remove the old refrigerant from the A/C system. Then, they’ll use Ram’s specifications to evacuate the system. The A/C system is recharged with new refrigerant and after one final test to be sure the system is cooling properly, you’re good to go. We want you to be comfortable in your car, so we train our technicians to perform 2015 Ram 1500 A/C recharges.
You may think warm air is the only potential Ram 1500 A/C problem you’ll have, but you may notice other issues, too. Typical A/C problems also include weak airflow, which could indicate an old ventilation fan, a seal or hose that needs replacing, or mold buildup in your A/C system. If your A/C system blows cold air first but then it turns warm, this can mean there’s a malfunctioning compressor clutch, a leak, or a blown fuse. Are you breathing in some “interesting” new odors in your 2015 Ram 1500? This can mean you have mold in your evaporator case, or it may indicate that it’s time to change your cabin air filter. Our technicians will work to solve your A/C problems to the best of their ability. Don’t sweat it — we’re here to help you chill out again in your 1500.
