When you get in the car on a hot summer day, the last thing you want is a broken air conditioner. Your steering wheel feels like lava. That puddle in the driver’s seat? Sweat. Ugh. You wipe your brow and wonder, "Who can fix the A/C in my Subaru Legacy?" Easy — Firestone Complete Auto Care! We’ve got experience with Subaru vehicles, and our technicians are qualified to diagnose and repair 2015 Subaru Legacy A/C systems. Come to your local Firestone Complete Auto Care in your Subaru Legacy
During this initial A/C performance check, we’ll look at the state of your 2015 Subaru Legacy’s A/C system to evaluate what repairs are necessary (if any). We’ll test overall system performance, check for any leaks, and measure the system pressure. If any signs point to a possible leak, we’ll send a special U/V dye through the system, or use something called a “sniffer.” A “sniffer” isn’t a technician with a good nose! It’s a machine that’s used on different parts of your Subaru Legacy A/C system to detect refrigerant fumes escaping from the system. If your system has a leak, we can get it fixed.
When we perform an A/C repair on your 2015 Subaru Legacy, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. During this process, a technician will remove the old refrigerant from the A/C system. Then, they’ll perform an evacuation (also known as a discharge) on the entire system per Subaru guidelines. The A/C system is recharged with new refrigerant and once the technician tests the cool blast for themselves, you're ready to get back on the road. We want you to be comfortable in your car, so we train our technicians to perform 2015 Subaru Legacy A/C recharges.
Warm air isn't the only Subaru Legacy A/C problem you may encounter. Typical A/C problems also include weak airflow, which could be caused by mold or mildew buildup, a loose hose, an old ventilation fan, or a compromised seal. If your A/C system blows cold air first but then it turns warm, this may be due to a clogged expansion valve, faulty compressor clutch, blown fuse, or leak. What about those (somewhat unpleasant!) smells coming through the A/C vents in your 2015 Subaru Legacy? That could be the result of a dirty cabin air filter (an easy fix!) or a moldy evaporator case. Our technicians will work to solve your A/C problems to the best of their ability. So, chill out. We're here to help you get the blast back in your Legacy’s A/C!
