When you get in the car on a hot summer day, the last thing you want is a broken air conditioner. Your steering wheel feels like it's burning your hands. That puddle in the driver’s seat? Sweat. Ugh. “Who can fix my Acura TL A/C?” you wonder, as the sun beats through the windshield. Firestone Complete Auto Care — that’s who! We’ve got experience with Acura vehicles, and our qualified technicians can diagnose and service the A/C system in your 2011 Acura. Come to your local Firestone Complete Auto Care in your Acura TL
In this A/C performance inspection, we’ll check out the current condition of your 2011 Acura TL A/C system to evaluate what repairs are necessary (if any). This check includes a visual inspection, performance test, and pressure and leak test. If we think there might be a leak, we'll run a special U/V dye through the system or use a "sniffer." What’s a “sniffer,” you ask? It’s a specially designed machine that’s used on parts of your Acura TL A/C system to detect refrigerant fumes escaping from the system. If your system has a leak, we can get it fixed.
When we perform an A/C repair on your 2011 Acura TL, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. To do this, one of our technicians will remove the refrigerant in your A/C system (if there is even any left to remove). Then, they’ll perform an evacuation (also known as a discharge) on the entire system per Acura guidelines. Finally, we’ll recharge the A/C system with new refrigerant and once we’ve done a final test on the system ourselves, you're ready to get back on the road. Our technicians are trained to efficiently perform 2011 Acura TL A/C recharges.
You may think warm air is the only potential Acura TL A/C problem you’ll have, but you may notice other issues, too. Other common A/C problems include weak airflow, which could mean you have a compromised seal, mildew or mold buildup, a loose or damaged hose, or a ventilation fan that needs to be replaced. If your A/C system blows cold air first but then it turns warm, this may be due to a clogged expansion valve, faulty compressor clutch, blown fuse, or leak. Are you breathing in some “interesting” new odors in your 2011 Acura TL? This can mean you have mold in your evaporator case, or it may indicate that it’s time to change your cabin air filter. Our trained technicians will do what they can to solve your A/C problems. So, chill out. We're here to help you get the blast back in your TL’s A/C!
