There’s nothing worse than cranking your car air conditioner on a hot day — and discovering it’s broken. Is that a hot stove? Nope, just your steering wheel. Your skin sticks to the driver’s seat. “Who can fix my Audi A3 A/C?” you wonder, as the sun beats through the windshield. Firestone Complete Auto Care — that’s who! We’ve got experience with Audi vehicles, and our trained technicians can identify and repair issues with 2010 Audi A/C systems. Bring your Audi A3 to your local Firestone Complete Auto Care
During this initial A/C performance check, we’ll look at the state of your 2010 Audi A3’s A/C system to evaluate what repairs are necessary (if any). We’ll test overall system performance, check for any leaks, and measure the system pressure. If we suspect a leak, we’ll send a U/V dye through your A/C system or use a “sniffer” to find the leak. A “sniffer” isn’t a technician with a good nose! It’s a machine that’s used on different parts of your Audi A3 A/C system to detect any refrigerant fumes that might be leaking out from the system. If your A/C system has a leak, we’ll find and repair it.
While your 2010 Audi A3’s air conditioner is being serviced, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. To start this process, a technician will flush out the old refrigerant from your vehicle’s A/C system. Then, they’ll perform an evacuation (also known as a discharge) on the entire system per Audi guidelines. Finally, we’ll recharge the A/C system with new refrigerant and once we’ve done a final test on the system ourselves, you’re good to go. Our technicians are trained to efficiently perform 2010 Audi A3 A/C recharges.
Warm air isn't the only Audi A3 A/C problem you may encounter. Typical A/C problems also include weak airflow, which could mean you have a compromised seal, mildew or mold buildup, a loose or damaged hose, or a ventilation fan that needs to be replaced. An A/C system that starts off blowing cold air but then turns warm can mean there’s a malfunctioning compressor clutch, a leak, or a blown fuse. Are you breathing in some “interesting” new odors in your 2010 Audi A3? You could have a moldy evaporator case, or you may simply need a new cabin air filter installed. Our trained technicians will do what they can to solve your A/C problems. Don’t sweat it — we’re here to help you chill out again in your A3.
