There’s nothing worse than cranking your car air conditioner on a hot day — and discovering it’s broken. Your steering wheel feels like lava. Sweat soaks the driver's seat. “Who can fix my Audi A4 A/C?” you wonder, as the sun beats through the windshield. Firestone Complete Auto Care can! We’ve got experience with Audi vehicles, and our trained technicians can identify and repair issues with 2008 Audi A/C systems. Steer your Audi A4 to your nearest Firestone Complete Auto Care
During this initial A/C performance check, we’ll look at the state of your 2008 Audi A4’s A/C system to determine whether repair work is needed. We’ll test overall system performance, check for any leaks, and measure the system pressure. If any signs point to a possible leak, we’ll send a special U/V dye through the system, or use something called a “sniffer.” What’s a “sniffer,” you ask? It’s a specially designed machine that’s used on parts of your Audi A4 A/C system to identify points where refrigerant fumes could be escaping the system. If your system has a leak, we can get it fixed.
While your 2008 Audi A4’s air conditioner is being serviced, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. During this process, a technician will remove the old refrigerant from the A/C system. Then, they’ll perform an evacuation (also known as a discharge) on the entire system per Audi guidelines. The A/C system is recharged with new refrigerant and once we’ve done a final test on the system ourselves, you’re all set. Our technicians are trained to efficiently perform 2008 Audi A4 A/C recharges.
You may think warm air is the only potential Audi A4 A/C problem you’ll have, but you may notice other issues, too. Other common A/C problems include weak airflow, which could be caused by mold or mildew buildup, a loose hose, an old ventilation fan, or a compromised seal. An A/C system that starts off blowing cold air but then turns warm can mean there’s a malfunctioning compressor clutch, a leak, or a blown fuse. What about those (somewhat unpleasant!) smells coming through the A/C vents in your 2008 Audi A4? This can mean you have mold in your evaporator case, or it may indicate that it’s time to change your cabin air filter. Our trained technicians will do what they can to solve your A/C problems. Don’t sweat it — we’re here to help you chill out again in your A4.
