Few things are worse than a broken car air conditioner on a hot summer day. Is that a hot stove? Nope, just your steering wheel. Your skin sticks to the driver’s seat. You take a deep breath and ask yourself, “Who can fix my Audi e-tron GT A/C?” Firestone Complete Auto Care can! We know our way around Audi vehicles, and our technicians are qualified to diagnose and repair 2022 Audi e-tron GT A/C systems. Bring your Audi e-tron GT to your local Firestone Complete Auto Care
During an A/C performance check, we'll determine the condition of your 2022 Audi e-tron GT A/C system to determine whether repair work is needed. We’ll test overall system performance, check for any leaks, and measure the system pressure. If any signs point to a possible leak, we’ll send a special U/V dye through the system, or use something called a “sniffer.” What’s a “sniffer,” you ask? It’s a specially designed machine that’s used on parts of your Audi e-tron GT A/C system to detect refrigerant fumes escaping from the system. If your A/C system has a leak, we’ll find and repair it.
While your 2022 Audi e-tron GT’s air conditioner is being serviced, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. During this process, a technician will remove the old refrigerant from the A/C system. Then, they’ll perform an evacuation (also known as a discharge) on the entire system per Audi guidelines. The A/C system is recharged with new refrigerant and once we’ve done a final test on the system ourselves, you’re good to go. We want you to be comfortable in your car, so we train our technicians to perform 2022 Audi e-tron GT A/C recharges.
You may think warm air is the only potential Audi e-tron GT A/C problem you’ll have, but you may notice other issues, too. Another common A/C problem is weak airflow, which could indicate an old ventilation fan, a seal or hose that needs replacing, or mold buildup in your A/C system. An A/C system that starts off blowing cold air but then turns warm may suggest a leak, a blown fuse, or a damaged compressor clutch. What about those (somewhat unpleasant!) smells coming through the A/C vents in your 2022 Audi e-tron GT? You could have a moldy evaporator case, or you may simply need a new cabin air filter installed. Our trained technicians will do what they can to solve your A/C problems. Don’t sweat it — we’re here to help you chill out again in your e-tron GT.
