Few things are worse than a broken car air conditioner on a hot summer day. Your steering wheel feels like it's burning your hands. That puddle in the driver’s seat? Sweat. Ugh. We’ve got experience with Audi vehicles, and our technicians are qualified to diagnose and repair 2013 Audi S6 A/C systems. Steer your Audi S6 to your nearest Firestone Complete Auto Care
In this A/C performance inspection, we’ll check out the current condition of your 2013 Audi S6 A/C system to evaluate what repairs are necessary (if any). This check includes a visual inspection, performance test, and pressure and leak test. If any signs point to a possible leak, we’ll send a special U/V dye through the system, or use something called a “sniffer.” What’s a “sniffer,” you ask? It’s a specially designed machine that’s used on parts of your Audi S6 A/C system to detect refrigerant fumes escaping from the system. If there's a leak, we'll find it and fix it.
When we perform an A/C repair on your 2013 Audi S6, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. To do this, one of our technicians will remove the refrigerant in your A/C system (if there is even any left to remove). Then, they’ll perform an evacuation (also known as a discharge) on the entire system per Audi guidelines. To finish, we’ll add new refrigerant to recharge the A/C system, and once the technician tests the cool blast for themselves, you're ready to get back on the road. We want you to be comfortable in your car, so we train our technicians to perform 2013 Audi S6 A/C recharges.
Warm air isn't the only Audi S6 A/C problem you may encounter. Typical A/C problems also include weak airflow, which could indicate an old ventilation fan, a seal or hose that needs replacing, or mold buildup in your A/C system. If you notice that your A/C system’s air is cold at first, then quickly goes warm, this may suggest a leak, a blown fuse, or a damaged compressor clutch. And smelly A/C in a 2013 Audi S6? You could have a moldy evaporator case, or you may simply need a new cabin air filter installed. Our technicians will work to solve your A/C problems to the best of their ability. Don’t sweat it — we’re here to help you chill out again in your S6.
