When you get in the car on a hot summer day, the last thing you want is a broken air conditioner. Is that a hot stove? Nope, just your steering wheel. Sweat soaks the driver's seat. “Who can fix my Audi S8 A/C?” you wonder, as the sun beats through the windshield. Firestone Complete Auto Care — that’s who! We’ve got experience with Audi vehicles, and our technicians are qualified to diagnose and repair 2007 Audi S8 A/C systems. Bring your Audi S8 to your local Firestone Complete Auto Care
In this A/C performance inspection, we’ll check out the current condition of your 2007 Audi S8 A/C system to determine whether repair work is needed. This check will include an examination of system pressure, a visual inspection, and a leak test. If we suspect a leak, we’ll send a U/V dye through your A/C system or use a “sniffer” to find the leak. A "sniffer" is a machine that's run along parts of your Audi S8 A/C system that can detect refrigerant fumes escaping from the system. If there's a leak, we'll find it and fix it.
When we perform an A/C repair on your 2007 Audi S8, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. During this process, a technician will remove the old refrigerant from the A/C system. Then, they’ll use Audi’s specifications to evacuate the system. To finish, we’ll add new refrigerant to recharge the A/C system, and after one final test to be sure the system is cooling properly, you're ready to get back on the road. Our technicians are trained to efficiently perform 2007 Audi S8 A/C recharges.
You may think warm air is the only potential Audi S8 A/C problem you’ll have, but you may notice other issues, too. Another common A/C problem is weak airflow, which could mean you have a compromised seal, mildew or mold buildup, a loose or damaged hose, or a ventilation fan that needs to be replaced. If you notice that your A/C system’s air is cold at first, then quickly goes warm, this may be due to a clogged expansion valve, faulty compressor clutch, blown fuse, or leak. What about those (somewhat unpleasant!) smells coming through the A/C vents in your 2007 Audi S8? That could be the result of a dirty cabin air filter (an easy fix!) or a moldy evaporator case. Our technicians will work to solve your A/C problems to the best of their ability. We’re here to help you get back on the road in your S8 — without all the sweat puddles!
