When you get in the car on a hot summer day, the last thing you want is a broken air conditioner. Your steering wheel feels like lava. Sweat soaks the driver's seat. We’ve got experience with BMW vehicles, and our technicians are qualified to diagnose and repair 2012 BMW 335i xDrive A/C systems. Bring your BMW 335i xDrive to your local Firestone Complete Auto Care
In this A/C performance inspection, we’ll check out the current condition of your 2012 BMW 335i xDrive A/C system to determine whether repair work is needed. This check will include an examination of system pressure, a visual inspection, and a leak test. If we suspect a leak, we’ll send a U/V dye through your A/C system or use a “sniffer” to find the leak. What’s a “sniffer,” you ask? It’s a specially designed machine that’s used on parts of your BMW 335i xDrive A/C system to identify points where refrigerant fumes could be escaping the system. If your A/C system has a leak, we’ll find and repair it.
While your 2012 BMW 335i xDrive’s air conditioner is being serviced, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. During this process, a technician will remove the old refrigerant from the A/C system. Then, they’ll perform an evacuation (also known as a discharge) on the entire system per BMW guidelines. The A/C system is recharged with new refrigerant and once we’ve done a final test on the system ourselves, you're ready to get back on the road. Our technicians know how to keep your A/C in tip-top shape with 2012 BMW 335i xDrive A/C recharges.
Hot air is a common BMW 335i xDrive A/C problem, but it’s not the only issue you might encounter. Other common A/C problems include weak airflow, which could indicate an old ventilation fan, a seal or hose that needs replacing, or mold buildup in your A/C system. An A/C system that starts off blowing cold air but then turns warm may suggest a leak, a blown fuse, or a damaged compressor clutch. Are you breathing in some “interesting” new odors in your 2012 BMW 335i xDrive? This can mean you have mold in your evaporator case, or it may indicate that it’s time to change your cabin air filter. Our trained technicians will do what they can to solve your A/C problems. So, chill out. We're here to help you get the blast back in your 335i xDrive’s A/C!
