There’s nothing worse than cranking your car air conditioner on a hot day — and discovering it’s broken. Your steering wheel feels like lava. Your skin sticks to the driver’s seat. You wipe your brow and wonder, "Who can fix the A/C in my BMW 435i xDrive?" Firestone Complete Auto Care can! We know BMW vehicles, and our qualified technicians can diagnose and service the A/C system in your 2016 BMW. Come to your local Firestone Complete Auto Care in your BMW 435i xDrive
During this initial A/C performance check, we’ll look at the state of your 2016 BMW 435i xDrive’s A/C system to see if repair work is required. We’ll test overall system performance, check for any leaks, and measure the system pressure. If any signs point to a possible leak, we’ll send a special U/V dye through the system, or use something called a “sniffer.” A "sniffer" is a machine that's run along parts of your BMW 435i xDrive A/C system that can detect refrigerant fumes escaping from the system. If your A/C system has a leak, we’ll find and repair it.
While your 2016 BMW 435i xDrive’s air conditioner is being serviced, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. To do this, one of our technicians will remove the refrigerant in your A/C system (if there is even any left to remove). Then, they’ll perform an evacuation (also known as a discharge) on the entire system per BMW guidelines. The A/C system is recharged with new refrigerant and once the technician tests the cool blast for themselves, you’re all set. Our technicians are trained to efficiently perform 2016 BMW 435i xDrive A/C recharges.
Hot air is a common BMW 435i xDrive A/C problem, but it’s not the only issue you might encounter. Typical A/C problems also include weak airflow, which could be caused by mold or mildew buildup, a loose hose, an old ventilation fan, or a compromised seal. If your A/C system blows cold air first but then it turns warm, this may suggest a leak, a blown fuse, or a damaged compressor clutch. What about those (somewhat unpleasant!) smells coming through the A/C vents in your 2016 BMW 435i xDrive? You could have a moldy evaporator case, or you may simply need a new cabin air filter installed. Our trained technicians will do what they can to solve your A/C problems. Don’t sweat it — we’re here to help you chill out again in your 435i xDrive.
