There’s nothing worse than cranking your car air conditioner on a hot day — and discovering it’s broken. Is that a hot stove? Nope, just your steering wheel. Your skin sticks to the driver’s seat. You wipe your brow and wonder, "Who can fix the A/C in my BMW 535i xDrive?" Easy — Firestone Complete Auto Care! We know BMW vehicles, and our trained technicians can identify and repair issues with 2012 BMW A/C systems. Come to your local Firestone Complete Auto Care in your BMW 535i xDrive
During this initial A/C performance check, we’ll look at the state of your 2012 BMW 535i xDrive’s A/C system to see if repair work is required. This check will include an examination of system pressure, a visual inspection, and a leak test. If we think there might be a leak, we'll run a special U/V dye through the system or use a "sniffer." A “sniffer” isn’t a technician with a good nose! It’s a machine that’s used on different parts of your BMW 535i xDrive A/C system to detect any refrigerant fumes that might be leaking out from the system. If there's a leak, we'll find it and fix it.
While your 2012 BMW 535i xDrive’s air conditioner is being serviced, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. To do this, one of our technicians will remove the refrigerant in your A/C system (if there is even any left to remove). Then, they’ll use BMW’s specifications to evacuate the system. Finally, we’ll recharge the A/C system with new refrigerant and once we’ve done a final test on the system ourselves, you’re all set. Our technicians are trained to efficiently perform 2012 BMW 535i xDrive A/C recharges.
Hot air is a common BMW 535i xDrive A/C problem, but it’s not the only issue you might encounter. Another common A/C problem is weak airflow, which could mean you have a compromised seal, mildew or mold buildup, a loose or damaged hose, or a ventilation fan that needs to be replaced. If your A/C system blows cold air first but then it turns warm, this may suggest a leak, a blown fuse, or a damaged compressor clutch. Are you breathing in some “interesting” new odors in your 2012 BMW 535i xDrive? This can mean you have mold in your evaporator case, or it may indicate that it’s time to change your cabin air filter. Our technicians will work to solve your A/C problems to the best of their ability. Don’t sweat it — we’re here to help you chill out again in your 535i xDrive.
