Few things are worse than a broken car air conditioner on a hot summer day. Is that a hot stove? Nope, just your steering wheel. Sweat soaks the driver's seat. You wipe your brow and wonder, "Who can fix the A/C in my BMW 535i xDrive?" Easy — Firestone Complete Auto Care! We know our way around BMW vehicles, and our qualified technicians can diagnose and service the A/C system in your 2016 BMW. Steer your BMW 535i xDrive to your nearest Firestone Complete Auto Care
During this initial A/C performance check, we’ll look at the state of your 2016 BMW 535i xDrive’s A/C system to see if repair work is required. This check will include an examination of system pressure, a visual inspection, and a leak test. If we suspect a leak, we’ll send a U/V dye through your A/C system or use a “sniffer” to find the leak. A "sniffer" is a machine that's run along parts of your BMW 535i xDrive A/C system that can identify points where refrigerant fumes could be escaping the system. If there's a leak, we'll find it and fix it.
While your 2016 BMW 535i xDrive’s air conditioner is being serviced, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. To start this process, a technician will flush out the old refrigerant from your vehicle’s A/C system. Then, they’ll perform an evacuation (also known as a discharge) on the entire system per BMW guidelines. To finish, we’ll add new refrigerant to recharge the A/C system, and after one final test to be sure the system is cooling properly, you’re good to go. We want you to be comfortable in your car, so we train our technicians to perform 2016 BMW 535i xDrive A/C recharges.
You may think warm air is the only potential BMW 535i xDrive A/C problem you’ll have, but you may notice other issues, too. Another common A/C problem is weak airflow, which could indicate an old ventilation fan, a seal or hose that needs replacing, or mold buildup in your A/C system. If your A/C system blows cold air first but then it turns warm, this can mean there’s a malfunctioning compressor clutch, a leak, or a blown fuse. What about those (somewhat unpleasant!) smells coming through the A/C vents in your 2016 BMW 535i xDrive? You could have a moldy evaporator case, or you may simply need a new cabin air filter installed. Technicians at Firestone Complete Auto Care are ready to help you address your A/C problems. So, chill out. We're here to help you get the blast back in your 535i xDrive’s A/C!
