When you get in the car on a hot summer day, the last thing you want is a broken air conditioner. Your steering wheel feels like it's burning your hands. That puddle in the driver’s seat? Sweat. Ugh. You take a deep breath and ask yourself, “Who can fix my BMW 740Li xDrive A/C?” Easy — Firestone Complete Auto Care! We know our way around BMW vehicles, and our trained technicians can identify and repair issues with 2013 BMW A/C systems. Come to your local Firestone Complete Auto Care in your BMW 740Li xDrive
In this A/C performance inspection, we’ll check out the current condition of your 2013 BMW 740Li xDrive A/C system to see if repair work is required. This check will include an examination of system pressure, a visual inspection, and a leak test. If any signs point to a possible leak, we’ll send a special U/V dye through the system, or use something called a “sniffer.” What’s a “sniffer,” you ask? It’s a specially designed machine that’s used on parts of your BMW 740Li xDrive A/C system to detect refrigerant fumes escaping from the system. If your A/C system has a leak, we’ll find and repair it.
While your 2013 BMW 740Li xDrive’s air conditioner is being serviced, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. To do this, one of our technicians will remove the refrigerant in your A/C system (if there is even any left to remove). Then, they’ll perform an evacuation (also known as a discharge) on the entire system per BMW guidelines. To finish, we’ll add new refrigerant to recharge the A/C system, and after one final test to be sure the system is cooling properly, you’re good to go. Our technicians know how to keep your A/C in tip-top shape with 2013 BMW 740Li xDrive A/C recharges.
Hot air is a common BMW 740Li xDrive A/C problem, but it’s not the only issue you might encounter. Other common A/C problems include weak airflow, which could be caused by mold or mildew buildup, a loose hose, an old ventilation fan, or a compromised seal. An A/C system that starts off blowing cold air but then turns warm may suggest a leak, a blown fuse, or a damaged compressor clutch. Are you breathing in some “interesting” new odors in your 2013 BMW 740Li xDrive? This can mean you have mold in your evaporator case, or it may indicate that it’s time to change your cabin air filter. Our technicians will work to solve your A/C problems to the best of their ability. We’re here to help you get back on the road in your 740Li xDrive — without all the sweat puddles!
