Few things are worse than a broken car air conditioner on a hot summer day. Your steering wheel feels like it's burning your hands. Your skin sticks to the driver’s seat. You wipe your brow and wonder, "Who can fix the A/C in my BMW Alpina B7 xDrive?" Easy — Firestone Complete Auto Care! We’ve got experience with BMW vehicles, and our technicians are qualified to diagnose and repair 2012 BMW Alpina B7 xDrive A/C systems. Come to your local Firestone Complete Auto Care in your BMW Alpina B7 xDrive
In this A/C performance inspection, we’ll check out the current condition of your 2012 BMW Alpina B7 xDrive A/C system to determine whether repair work is needed. This check will include an examination of system pressure, a visual inspection, and a leak test. If we think there might be a leak, we'll run a special U/V dye through the system or use a "sniffer." A "sniffer" is a machine that's run along parts of your BMW Alpina B7 xDrive A/C system that can detect refrigerant fumes escaping from the system. If your A/C system has a leak, we’ll find and repair it.
While your 2012 BMW Alpina B7 xDrive’s air conditioner is being serviced, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. To do this, one of our technicians will remove the refrigerant in your A/C system (if there is even any left to remove). Then, they’ll use BMW’s specifications to evacuate the system. The A/C system is recharged with new refrigerant and once we’ve done a final test on the system ourselves, you're ready to get back on the road. We want you to be comfortable in your car, so we train our technicians to perform 2012 BMW Alpina B7 xDrive A/C recharges.
You may think warm air is the only potential BMW Alpina B7 xDrive A/C problem you’ll have, but you may notice other issues, too. Another common A/C problem is weak airflow, which could be caused by mold or mildew buildup, a loose hose, an old ventilation fan, or a compromised seal. If you notice that your A/C system’s air is cold at first, then quickly goes warm, this may be due to a clogged expansion valve, faulty compressor clutch, blown fuse, or leak. Are you breathing in some “interesting” new odors in your 2012 BMW Alpina B7 xDrive? You could have a moldy evaporator case, or you may simply need a new cabin air filter installed. Our trained technicians will do what they can to solve your A/C problems. Don’t sweat it — we’re here to help you chill out again in your Alpina B7 xDrive.
