When you get in the car on a hot summer day, the last thing you want is a broken air conditioner. Your steering wheel feels like it's burning your hands. Your skin sticks to the driver’s seat. You take a deep breath and ask yourself, “Who can fix my BMW X1 A/C?” Easy — Firestone Complete Auto Care! We know our way around BMW vehicles, and our trained technicians can identify and repair issues with 2019 BMW A/C systems. Come to your local Firestone Complete Auto Care in your BMW X1
In this A/C performance inspection, we’ll check out the current condition of your 2019 BMW X1 A/C system to determine whether repair work is needed. This check will include an examination of system pressure, a visual inspection, and a leak test. If any signs point to a possible leak, we’ll send a special U/V dye through the system, or use something called a “sniffer.” A "sniffer" is a machine that's run along parts of your BMW X1 A/C system that can identify points where refrigerant fumes could be escaping the system. If your A/C system has a leak, we’ll find and repair it.
When we perform an A/C repair on your 2019 BMW X1, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. To do this, one of our technicians will remove the refrigerant in your A/C system (if there is even any left to remove). Next, they will evacuate the system according to BMW's recommendations. The A/C system is recharged with new refrigerant and once the technician tests the cool blast for themselves, you're ready to get back on the road. Our technicians are trained to efficiently perform 2019 BMW X1 A/C recharges.
You may think warm air is the only potential BMW X1 A/C problem you’ll have, but you may notice other issues, too. Typical A/C problems also include weak airflow, which could indicate an old ventilation fan, a seal or hose that needs replacing, or mold buildup in your A/C system. An A/C system that starts off blowing cold air but then turns warm may suggest a leak, a blown fuse, or a damaged compressor clutch. Are you breathing in some “interesting” new odors in your 2019 BMW X1? That could be the result of a dirty cabin air filter (an easy fix!) or a moldy evaporator case. Our technicians will work to solve your A/C problems to the best of their ability. So, chill out. We're here to help you get the blast back in your X1’s A/C!
