When you get in the car on a hot summer day, the last thing you want is a broken air conditioner. Is that a hot stove? Nope, just your steering wheel. That puddle in the driver’s seat? Sweat. Ugh. You wipe your brow and wonder, "Who can fix the A/C in my Chrysler 200?" Firestone Complete Auto Care — that’s who! We know our way around Chrysler vehicles, and our technicians are qualified to diagnose and repair 2017 Chrysler 200 A/C systems. Bring your Chrysler 200 to your local Firestone Complete Auto Care
In this A/C performance inspection, we’ll check out the current condition of your 2017 Chrysler 200 A/C system to determine whether repair work is needed. This check will include an examination of system pressure, a visual inspection, and a leak test. If we think there might be a leak, we'll run a special U/V dye through the system or use a "sniffer." A "sniffer" is a machine that's run along parts of your Chrysler 200 A/C system that can detect any refrigerant fumes that might be leaking out from the system. If there's a leak, we'll find it and fix it.
While your 2017 Chrysler 200’s air conditioner is being serviced, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. During this process, a technician will remove the old refrigerant from the A/C system. Then, they’ll use Chrysler’s specifications to evacuate the system. The A/C system is recharged with new refrigerant and after one final test to be sure the system is cooling properly, you’re all set. We want you to be comfortable in your car, so we train our technicians to perform 2017 Chrysler 200 A/C recharges.
Warm air isn't the only Chrysler 200 A/C problem you may encounter. Typical A/C problems also include weak airflow, which could indicate an old ventilation fan, a seal or hose that needs replacing, or mold buildup in your A/C system. If your A/C system blows cold air first but then it turns warm, this may be due to a clogged expansion valve, faulty compressor clutch, blown fuse, or leak. What about those (somewhat unpleasant!) smells coming through the A/C vents in your 2017 Chrysler 200? That could be the result of a dirty cabin air filter (an easy fix!) or a moldy evaporator case. Our trained technicians will do what they can to solve your A/C problems. We’re here to help you get back on the road in your 200 — without all the sweat puddles!
