During this initial A/C performance check, we’ll look at the state of your 2022 Chrysler Voyager’s A/C system to determine whether repair work is needed. This check will include an examination of system pressure, a visual inspection, and a leak test. If we suspect a leak, we’ll send a U/V dye through your A/C system or use a “sniffer” to find the leak. What’s a “sniffer,” you ask? It’s a specially designed machine that’s used on parts of your Chrysler Voyager A/C system to detect any refrigerant fumes that might be leaking out from the system. If your system has a leak, we can get it fixed.
While your 2022 Chrysler Voyager’s air conditioner is being serviced, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. To do this, one of our technicians will remove the refrigerant in your A/C system (if there is even any left to remove). Then, they’ll perform an evacuation (also known as a discharge) on the entire system per Chrysler guidelines. Finally, we’ll recharge the A/C system with new refrigerant and once we’ve done a final test on the system ourselves, you’re good to go. Our technicians are trained to efficiently perform 2022 Chrysler Voyager A/C recharges.
You may think warm air is the only potential Chrysler Voyager A/C problem you’ll have, but you may notice other issues, too. Other common A/C problems include weak airflow, which could be caused by mold or mildew buildup, a loose hose, an old ventilation fan, or a compromised seal. If you notice that your A/C system’s air is cold at first, then quickly goes warm, this can mean there’s a malfunctioning compressor clutch, a leak, or a blown fuse. Are you breathing in some “interesting” new odors in your 2022 Chrysler Voyager? That could be the result of a dirty cabin air filter (an easy fix!) or a moldy evaporator case. Our technicians will work to solve your A/C problems to the best of their ability. Don’t sweat it — we’re here to help you chill out again in your Voyager.
