There’s nothing worse than cranking your car air conditioner on a hot day — and discovering it’s broken. Your steering wheel feels like lava. Your skin sticks to the driver’s seat. You wipe your brow and wonder, "Who can fix the A/C in my Kia Forte?" Firestone Complete Auto Care — that’s who! We know our way around Kia vehicles, and our qualified technicians can diagnose and service the A/C system in your 2019 Kia. Steer your Kia Forte to your nearest Firestone Complete Auto Care
During this initial A/C performance check, we’ll look at the state of your 2019 Kia Forte’s A/C system to see if repair work is required. This check includes a visual inspection, performance test, and pressure and leak test. If any signs point to a possible leak, we’ll send a special U/V dye through the system, or use something called a “sniffer.” What’s a “sniffer,” you ask? It’s a specially designed machine that’s used on parts of your Kia Forte A/C system to detect refrigerant fumes escaping from the system. If there's a leak, we'll find it and fix it.
While your 2019 Kia Forte’s air conditioner is being serviced, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. To do this, one of our technicians will remove the refrigerant in your A/C system (if there is even any left to remove). Then, they’ll perform an evacuation (also known as a discharge) on the entire system per Kia guidelines. Finally, we’ll recharge the A/C system with new refrigerant and once we’ve done a final test on the system ourselves, you’re good to go. Our technicians are trained to efficiently perform 2019 Kia Forte A/C recharges.
You may think warm air is the only potential Kia Forte A/C problem you’ll have, but you may notice other issues, too. Typical A/C problems also include weak airflow, which could indicate an old ventilation fan, a seal or hose that needs replacing, or mold buildup in your A/C system. If you notice that your A/C system’s air is cold at first, then quickly goes warm, this may suggest a leak, a blown fuse, or a damaged compressor clutch. What about those (somewhat unpleasant!) smells coming through the A/C vents in your 2019 Kia Forte? That could be the result of a dirty cabin air filter (an easy fix!) or a moldy evaporator case. Our trained technicians will do what they can to solve your A/C problems. Don’t sweat it — we’re here to help you chill out again in your Forte.
