There’s nothing worse than cranking your car air conditioner on a hot day — and discovering it’s broken. Your steering wheel feels like it's burning your hands. That puddle in the driver’s seat? Sweat. Ugh. You take a deep breath and ask yourself, “Who can fix my Kia K5 A/C?” Easy — Firestone Complete Auto Care! We’ve got experience with Kia vehicles, and our trained technicians can identify and repair issues with 2025 Kia A/C systems. Come to your local Firestone Complete Auto Care in your Kia K5
During this initial A/C performance check, we’ll look at the state of your 2025 Kia K5’s A/C system to evaluate what repairs are necessary (if any). This check includes a visual inspection, performance test, and pressure and leak test. If we suspect a leak, we’ll send a U/V dye through your A/C system or use a “sniffer” to find the leak. What’s a “sniffer,” you ask? It’s a specially designed machine that’s used on parts of your Kia K5 A/C system to identify points where refrigerant fumes could be escaping the system. If your A/C system has a leak, we’ll find and repair it.
When we perform an A/C repair on your 2025 Kia K5, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. During this process, a technician will remove the old refrigerant from the A/C system. Then, they’ll perform an evacuation (also known as a discharge) on the entire system per Kia guidelines. To finish, we’ll add new refrigerant to recharge the A/C system, and once the technician tests the cool blast for themselves, you're ready to get back on the road. Our technicians are trained to efficiently perform 2025 Kia K5 A/C recharges.
Hot air is a common Kia K5 A/C problem, but it’s not the only issue you might encounter. Typical A/C problems also include weak airflow, which could be caused by mold or mildew buildup, a loose hose, an old ventilation fan, or a compromised seal. If you notice that your A/C system’s air is cold at first, then quickly goes warm, this may be due to a clogged expansion valve, faulty compressor clutch, blown fuse, or leak. Are you breathing in some “interesting” new odors in your 2025 Kia K5? That could be the result of a dirty cabin air filter (an easy fix!) or a moldy evaporator case. Our trained technicians will do what they can to solve your A/C problems. Don’t sweat it — we’re here to help you chill out again in your K5.
