There’s nothing worse than cranking your car air conditioner on a hot day — and discovering it’s broken. Your steering wheel feels like it's burning your hands. That puddle in the driver’s seat? Sweat. Ugh. “Who can fix my Kia Soul A/C?” you wonder, as the sun beats through the windshield. Firestone Complete Auto Care can! We’ve got experience with Kia vehicles, and our qualified technicians can diagnose and service the A/C system in your 2010 Kia. Bring your Kia Soul to your local Firestone Complete Auto Care
During this initial A/C performance check, we’ll look at the state of your 2010 Kia Soul’s A/C system to evaluate what repairs are necessary (if any). This check will include an examination of system pressure, a visual inspection, and a leak test. If we suspect a leak, we’ll send a U/V dye through your A/C system or use a “sniffer” to find the leak. A "sniffer" is a machine that's run along parts of your Kia Soul A/C system that can detect any refrigerant fumes that might be leaking out from the system. If your system has a leak, we can get it fixed.
When we perform an A/C repair on your 2010 Kia Soul, we’ll also do an A/C evacuation and recharge. During this process, a technician will remove the old refrigerant from the A/C system. Then, they’ll perform an evacuation (also known as a discharge) on the entire system per Kia guidelines. The A/C system is recharged with new refrigerant and once we’ve done a final test on the system ourselves, you’re good to go. We want you to be comfortable in your car, so we train our technicians to perform 2010 Kia Soul A/C recharges.
Hot air is a common Kia Soul A/C problem, but it’s not the only issue you might encounter. Other common A/C problems include weak airflow, which could mean you have a compromised seal, mildew or mold buildup, a loose or damaged hose, or a ventilation fan that needs to be replaced. An A/C system that starts off blowing cold air but then turns warm may be due to a clogged expansion valve, faulty compressor clutch, blown fuse, or leak. What about those (somewhat unpleasant!) smells coming through the A/C vents in your 2010 Kia Soul? That could be the result of a dirty cabin air filter (an easy fix!) or a moldy evaporator case. Our technicians will work to solve your A/C problems to the best of their ability. Don’t sweat it — we’re here to help you chill out again in your Soul.
